The merry-go-round of celebrity endorsements has been circling higher and higher of late with comeback pop superstars.Now, the newly-reformed Spice Girls are poised to take a bite of the endorsement pie, as Tesco is reportedly on the verge of a deal to sponsor the group’s moneyspinning reunion tour.
Posh, Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Baby are set to feature in two “tongue-in-cheek” pre-Christmas television advertisements with the supermarket giant banking on their reunion becoming a success on the scale of their male rivals. The Spice Girls capitalised on the reunion fever and announced their own tour. Now Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton could reap 2 million each if the Tesco deal goes ahead. Source
