Miley Cyrus is coming under fire for her new video “Who Owns My Heart?.” Concerned parent groups are saying the video is too sexually charged. Miley is seen in her underwear and blindfolded. Miley is trying to shake off her Hannah Montana image as quick as she can. Video HERE
Now, Tim Winter — President of the Parents Television Council — tells TMZ, “It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one.” Winter continues, “It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly.”
I watched the video and sure clearly it is not the Disney Hannah Montana we are use to seeing but I don’t think she looks any different from a many other 17 year old girls. News flash parents your innoncent 17 year olds are probably acting just like this. I remember when I was 17, trying to act more grownup than I was. Sure Miley is trying to look sexy and trying to break into the adult market but I think she just ends up looking a bit awkward in the video – like a little girl playing dress up. All this controversy is a lot of ado about nothing… Miley cannot stay Hannah Montana forever, she has to grow up one day!
