Now some possible motivation for the brutal gangland style murder of publicist Ronni Chasen has emerged. And guess what, it is money! Apparently Ronni left at 6 million dollars mostly to her niece, Melissa Cohen, in a 1994 will. The original recipient was her mom who has since died.
But her brother, Lawrence Cohen, is all of a sudden claiming that there is a newer will written in 2006 -which appears to be the case. However this 2006 will can not seem to be found. Lawrence thinks it might be in her safety deposit box – of course one wonders why her attorney or notary doesn’t have a copy.
TMZ reports: Apparently Chasen did not like one of her nieces much — she gives $10 to Jill Gatsby, stating, “I have intentionally and with full knowledge of the consequences omitted to provide for my niece, Jill Cohen, also known as Jill Gatsby, except for the gift of $10.”
In any case – when there are millions of dollars at stake and someone who had no known enemies is gunned down by a hit team one starts to wonder… assuredly the police are wondering and investigating as well.
