The grand jury of Orange County indicted Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz today for assault. The assault charges come from a fight that occurred in 2009 during the first season of Jersey Shore. Ronnie was charged with one count of third-degree assault. The charges took so long because both sides were trying to come to a plea agreement. If found guilty Ronnie could get up to five years in a state prison.
A rep for Ronnie tells TMZ, “This comes as a complete shock to us, as far as we know, our attorneys have been in contact with the prosecutors office and we are waiting to see the documents.”
It will be interesting to see what happens. The incident was filmed so there will be no disputes as to the events.
