If you’ve searched online for anything related to Kim Kardashian, then congratulations, you’ve just made her that much more popular than she already was. Ugh.
According to Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, Kim Kardashian is at the top of the list of the most popular search trends this year.
Last year, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson was at the top of the list, with other top search terms listed as “swine flu” and “stock market”. Now, we’re seeing a growing trend of people looking for more celebrity related news.
This year’s #1 searched for topic on Bing.com was Kim Kardashian, who won top searched in a landslide – with 20% more searches than #2 Sandra Bullock. The only repeat top 10 searched item was Kate Gosselin (last year’s #8) – although this year she appeared alone – minus Jon. The struggling economy is also reflected in this year’s top searches, with discount retailer Wal-Mart and the topic “free” appearing in the top 10.
