With recent rumors swirling around the state of her marriage to UK funnyman, Russell Brand, pop star Katy Perry is taking a relaxed approach to it all by shaking things up with a new do! (Her new hairstyle can be seen in the video below; the above pic is of Katy at the 2011 AMAs).
A complete 180 from her long dark locks and playful colored highlights, her flirty blonde bob is nothing short of a head turner. While the perky songstress could probably pull off a bald wig and a paper bag (and still look every bit as glam), I for one think she looks great.
Still riding the success of her 2010 album, Teenage Dream, life seems pretty good for Katy! She took home three 2011 MTV Video Music Awards; made her big screen debut in the 3D family film, “The Smurfs” as the sassy, Smurfette; and received three more noms for the 54thGrammy Awards (announced on November 30).
Katy is set to rock the small screen this weekend on Saturday Night Live. Rather than burning up the stage as the music act, this time the charismatic Katy is front and center as host of my favorite show of all time. I’m sure Russell Brand had some advice for his wife and I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a cameo.
Resident SNL’er Kenan Thompson and Katy took to Facebook with their promos for Katy’s hosting debut with musical guest Robyn. From the looks of the promos, Katy holds her own in the comedy department. Check it out:
