Kelly Ripa continues to search for that special someone with the proper feet to fill those big shoes that were once occupied by the legendary TV personality Regis Philbin. And guess what? I think this little search is proving more difficult than she, or the show’s producers, had originally thought.
I’m not sure how all of you faithful LIVE! watchers feel, but I feel as if the shows recent “applicants” have done an okay job. The only problem: they’re not freakin’ Regis Philbin! I think it’s fairly reasonable to assert the fact that the show will never be able to capture that quirky, weird, cute, sometimes extremely awkward chemistry that once existed between the veteran TV personality and the annoying blonde . . . but, the heavens know, they’re desperately trying to recapture the magic. Even if it means cycling through hundreds of potential co-hosts in the process.
Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough tried his hand at TV hosting yesterday morning (that choice is already a HELL NO in my book) and Moneyball star Jonah Hill sat in the co-host’s chair on the morning of December 6th. Singer Josh Groban will receive the honor of doing a triple co-hosting run December 7th-9th.
