A representative of the Los Angeles Police Department, Andrew Smith, announced today that an investigation looking into the alleged sexual encounter between Mariah Yeater and her Baby Daddy, Justin Bieber, will take place in the near future.
Yeater, who is now 20, claims in her paternity suit against Bieber that the two had sex backstage after one of his Los Angeles concerts when she was 19 and Bieber was only sweet 16. Thus, she could potentially be charged with statutory rape as the age of consent in California is 18.
Yeater claims her son, Tristyn Yeater, who was born on July 6, was conceived when she had “unprotected sex” with the pop megastar on October 25, 2010, following a performance at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
So we could wind up with a situation where Justin is paying child support to a woman who is charged with raping him. The law works in mysterious ways… .
Lawyers Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare are representing the 20-year-old California woman in her paternity suit . . . but will the two adventurers be representing her if she winds up charged with statutory rape?
California Penal Code Sec. 261.5 says in part that “Any person who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is not more than three years older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is guilty of a misdemeanor.” Unlawful sex under this law is defined as “sexual intercourse… with a person who is not the spouse of the perpetrator, if the person is a minor… under the age of 18.”
In her lawsuit, Yeater claims that in Oct. 2010, security guards took her backstage to meet Bieber, who in turn told her that he wanted to “make love” to her without a condom because it was his first time and he “wanted to feel everything.”
Bieber and his legal team have denied Yeater’s allegations and claim they will pursue any and all legal remedies available.
A court hearing on the matter is slated to take place on December 15. Take the DNA test Justin – there is no other way.
What do you all think? Is The Beebz the baby’s daddy?
