Zooey Deschanel deserves some mad props. Not only did she sing the national anthem at game 4 of the World Series, she sang the national anthem and remembered all the words! Yay, go Zooey!
She delivered a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, without needless embellishments (no hard feelings, Christina Aguilera) and even managed some proper phrasing (should we really be blaming Scotty McCreery for his intense Southern drawl?).

Around the seventh inning of the game between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals, the sports announcers pointed to a row of empty seats where Zooey and her friends had been sitting. Did all the baseball start to bore the actress? No, no. Zooey quickly took to Twitter the next morning saying:
“Would have loved to have watched the whole game but I had to catch a plane so I can go to work tomorrow. That’s all guys. I’m not a jerk.”
Doesn’t she seem like a great person?
