Just when we thought our day couldn’t get any better we find out that Bing has added Klingon to their list of translatable languages within the Bing Translator! Now, I’m not saying I’m going to have a great need for English-to-Klingon translation in the near future (somehow I don’t think that’s going to help me ace my final exams), but what I will say is this: maH, vaj SeymoH Hov trek vaj DartlhneSS (translation, courtesy of Bing: We are so excited for Star Trek Into Darkness!)
To celebrate this week’s premiere of J.J.’s Abrams’s Star Trek Into Darkness, Bing partnered with Marc Okrand, the creator of Klingon, to make the special feature available for all the Trekkies of the world who haven’t quite yet mastered the guttural speech spoken by the Klingon in the ever-popular franchise. However, if you are a Trekkie and can’t already speak Klingon then, well, perhaps you shouldn’t consider yourself a die hard Trekkie. Am I right?
Needless to say, we thought this might be a fun thing to show you as we eagerly await the premiere of the new film. To access the translator, all you have to do is head on over to Bing Translator by clicking here and, using the drop-down menus, choose which language you want to translate into Klingon. It’s as simple as that. And then you can wow all your friends at parties (or make new friends using this indispensable new skill!)
More Trekkie things to look forward to, courtesy of Bing: Tomorrow, you’ll find a special Star Trek experience with an interactive image, videos, and hotspots with fun Star Trek factoids. You will also be able to ask Bing your favorite Star Trek questions and receive results in the special Snapshot search results window.
Looking forward to the new movie? We are. Let us know in the comments section below what your Klingon name is — we’re curious. If You Want More Hot Celeb Dirty Laundry News Then Please Like Us On Facebook and Follow Us On Twitter!
