The Young and the Restless’ Sharon Newman has been dubbed Genoa City’s resident wack-job, oddly enough she is the only person in Genoa City that seems to have any common sense. Since it was revealed that the Fake Ghost Cassie was actually an imposter hired by Victor Newman and coincidentally was Tyler’s ex con-artist girlfriend, everyone seems to be ignoring the obvious- why is Mariah a dead-ringer for Cassie? Except for Sharon, that is.
According to CDL’s exclusive source, on the Friday may 16 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon will pay Mariah a visit and address the elephant in the room, why is Mariah a Cassie doppelganger? Y&R fans at home have been speculating for weeks now that Mariah may actually be Cassie, a twin of Cassie we never knew existed, or another long-lost child of either Sharon or Nick’s. According to our exclusive Y&R spoiler source, Sharon is ready to get to the bottom of the Cassie/Mariah mystery.
Mariah is less than helpful and insists she has no family and is not related to the Newmans. However, after their altercation Mariah arrives on Nick and Sharon’s doorsteps in tears and reveals the has something to tell them. So, for those Y&R fans that have been speculating Mariah is secretly related to Nick and Sharon Newman, it looks like your theory may finally come to fruition. Then again Mariah, is a notorious con-artist and apparently a burglar as well, so perhaps she sensed an opportunity when Sharon revealed she thought they were related, and she decided to seize it.
Imagine the drama if it turns out she really is a Newman, on the May 16th episode of Y&R Abby Newman will tell Victor to get rid of Mariah and “squish her like a tick.” Victor already has turned his entire family against himself by hiring Mariah to impersonate his dead granddaughter, what if it turns out Mariah is his granddaughter and he “get rids of her” as well? His family will never forgive him!
