Kate Middleton pleaded for more time with Prince William after a romantic getaway to Dundee, and Queen Elizabeth has approved more romantic date nights for the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge. The couple spent time at St. Andrews on October 22. Revisiting the place where the royal romance began made both realize they need to focus a more on each other and their marriage.
But Queen Elizabeth’s approval comes with the stipulation that Prince William handle all the public speaking because Duchess Kate hasn’t quite mastered the confidence necessary to properly represent the royals when speaking in public. Both Wills and Kate find that a reasonable trade-off – and are already planning some time away from Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Prince William and Kate Middleton need time to fix the fractures in the royal marriage. An insider told OK! “[Kate and Wills] are determined to keep the romance alive and put their love first.” More date nights will be added to the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge’s calendars. Reportedly a vacation in Mustique is planned for later in November 2015.
Prince Harry’s baby mama scandal has Queen Elizabeth’s head spinning – and nervous that this generation of royals will be the downfall of the British monarchy. Kate Middleton and Prince William need to keep their marriage together – having another divorced heir-to-the-throne is unacceptable. And if a few nights away from royal and parental responsibilities will do the trick – it’s a small price to pay.
There are plenty of nannies to help care for Princess Charlotte and Prince George while their parents enjoy a quiet candlelit dinner or a romantic movie. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge don’t even need to leave home for some quiet time – there are plenty of rooms from which to choose at any of the royal residences.
As long as Carole Middleton doesn’t maneuver and manipulate to care for the little royals while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are away Queen Elizabeth should be relatively happy. Duchess Kate will need to keep toeing the line when it comes to mom Carole’s meddling.
If that means more alone time and less public engagements Duchess Kate probably won’t have any problem keeping Carole Middleton from causing the royal family any further embarrassment.
