“The Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that things aren’t looking good for Detective Harding (Chris McKenna). We now know that Marco (Peter Bergman) bribed Harding to help him out with his villainous plans. Austin (Matthew Atkinson) and Courtney (Kelli Goss) are both dead as a result of their partnership. However, it seems Harding may be having second thoughts about getting involved with such a cutthroat criminal.
Harding indicated that he has some regret about what he’s done, but Marco reminded him that there’s no way he can back out now. Nevertheless, Harding probably isn’t as ruthless as Marco. If Marco pushes too far, Harding may draw the line. Marco said he intends on taking over Jack’s (Peter Bergman) life once again. It appears Marco misses his cushy lifestyle and all the hot bedroom romps with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). If Marco wants his partner to kill Jack, would Harding be willing to go through with it? Harding has gone along Marco’s orders so far, but he might say enough is enough.
It’s also possible that Marco could want Kevin (Greg Rikaart) or Paul (Doug Davidson) killed for knowing too much. It’s doubtful that Harding would really be willing to commit either of those murders. Unfortunately, Harding’s refusal could have devastating consequences. Harding might be forced to pay with his life. It’s clear that Marco won’t accept no for an answer. Marco could decide to kill Harding for failing to hold up his end of the bargain. “The Young and the Restless” fans may have to say farewell to the “bunny cop” for good.
Jamey Giddens of Daytime Confidential recently reported that a twist in one soap’s storyline would leave shippers of a non-couple extremely disappointed. That’s a blind item that could apply to any of the soaps, but it sure sounds like the perfect fit for “The Young and the Restless.” Here’s why: Giddens later dropped a hint that simply said “Live Free, Die Harder.” Many Y&R viewers have expressed interest in Kevin and Harding coming out as gay. These shippers liked the idea of them becoming a new pairing and gave the potential couple a shared name. When you put together the last names Harding and Fisher, you get “Harder.”
Perhaps Harding will try to break free from Marco’s evil scheme only to end up dead himself. Then again, maybe Harding will come clean and be sent off to prison. Either way, “Harder” hopefuls’ dreams are likely dashed forever. The rumors suggest that Chris McKenna won’t be sticking around as Harding for very long. Stay tuned to the CBS soap to see if this detective’s days are numbered.
