“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers for May Sweeps 2016 reveal love, betrayal, big decisions and some bad choices, plus new characters revealed and some backstory comes out on existing characters. Here’s what you can expect in coming weeks as the big Spring plots kick into high gear during May sweeps from April 28, until May 25.
Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) are finalizing their wedding plans. You’ll recall that Brad popped the question at last year’s Nurse’s Ball so it’s fitting they would get hitched during this year’s big event.
GH spoilers tease that a wedding will be central to the Ball and it will be Brad and Lucas that walk down the aisle. Other spoilers tease that Julian Jerome (William deVry) could be arrested at the Ball and that would put a definite wrinkle in his son’s wedding plans.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) will duke it out once again over baby Avery and General Hospital spoilers reveal that at long last, the custody mess will come to a conclusion – but not the one you might think.
Also, looks like Ava will finally get herself a man that’s willing to be seen with her in public. Will she get back with the dirty DA or her live-in lawyer Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) – or perhaps a new hottie will catch her eye?
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) nabbed Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey V Parise) but she’s far from done grieving and it looks like she will finally take some steps to move on from Duke Lavery’s (Ian Buchanan) death with support from his son Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen).
Over at GH, we’ll see new staff including nurse Amy (Risa Rodken) who appears to be channeling nosy nurse Amy Vining from the 80s. There will be some life and death action at General Hospital as we roll into May – wonder who’s at risk – perhaps Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton)?
Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) continue to struggle with his recovering memories and violent tendencies and they find out something startling at the Nurse’s Ball that sends them out of town seeking answers.
At the Nurse’s Ball, the pinnacle of GH May sweeps, we get Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) back as the mistress of ceremonies and Anna gets some quality time with Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer).
McCullough teased that Robin might announce a pregnancy when she makes a speech at the Nurse’s Ball, but that may have been a false spark to sit GH fans buzzing. Magic Milo (Drew Cheetwood) is back to wiggle for all he’s worth and we’re hoping new doc Griffin might be onstage and undressed as well.
We’ll also learn some more about the new doc, that sexy scar and his past with Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). Early into sweeps, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has Sam investigate Claudette, Nathan’s ex, so that might put a damper on their new engagement.
Jason struggles with recovered memories of Franco (Roger Howarth) and then struggles more when his ex Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) gets closer to the reformed sociopath. If Franco and Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) don’t patch things up, maybe Franco will escort Liz to the Nurse’s Ball
Liz gets closer to Franco even given her knowledge of the mistakes of his past. Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) won’t go away and tries to find a new path in life now that ELQ has been taken out of her grasp and she has a new agenda.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) move back in together then discuss pursuing their goal of a second baby – but did Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) tamper with their embryo?
Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) continues to pursue her Helena bequest investigation while heating up a new romance with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindström). A mistake from Griffin’s past returns to haunt him and he must cope with the anniversary of the death of the father he never knew.
