Kate Middleton is absolutely disgusted over a new portrait of Meghan Markle wearing Princess Diana’s tiara. In fact, Kate is beginning to worry that she is being overshadowed by the Hollywood actress in the media as the public can’t get enough of Prince Harry’s new girlfriend.
American-born artist Pegasus revealed a new piece of street art of Meghan Markle wearing an American flag dress and Princess Diana’s tiara with two of the Queen’s guards next to her. The words ‘Harry’s Girl’ are written above her head. The art piece is apparently supposed to be a ‘tongue in cheek’ painting of Prince Harry’s new love.
Artist Pegasus explained his art work to Daily Mail, saying, “I don’t think she is an American wannabe princess, but it was just my own excitement if she was actually to marry Prince Harry, so I took Princess Diana’s crown and superimposed it on her head.”
It’s without a doubt that Kate Middleton doesn’t think Princess Diana’s tiara should be on anyone’s head except her own. There’s no way the Duchess is willing to share the royal spotlight with someone like Meghan. Simply put, Kate knows she can’t compete with someone so media-savvy as Meghan.
The actress knows how to talk to the media and she knows how to make an entrance on the red carpet, too. That’s why Kate’s worried that if people are making comparisons to her and Princess Diana now, Kate might soon become yesterday’s news.
Right now, no one knows just how serious Prince Harry is with Meghan Markle. Sure, they might be the biggest couple in the celebrity world right now, but there’s very little chance that Queen Elizabeth would actually allow Prince Harry to get married to a Hollywood star like Meghan.
Kate knows this and that’s why she’s not panicking about Meghan just yet, but she sure doesn’t like how everyone is making such a big deal out of someone who is nothing more than just a ‘royal girlfriend.’ In fact, there is a good chance that the Duchess probably thinks the portrait is disrespectful as Princess Diana’s tiara shouldn’t be worn on anyone who clearly isn’t a part of the royal family.
