Is The Bachelor franchise REALLY what caused Lex McAllister’s death?! Bachelor contestant Lex McAllister’s died from an apparent suicide on February 16 rocked Bachelor nation – and previous contestants on both the ABC reality shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, took to the internet to send their condolences.
If you don’t really remember Lex, that is probably because she appeared on the show SIX years ago – and was sent home on night one of Jake’s season, only appearing in one episode.
This week’s cover of Life & Style Magazine features a photo of Lex McAllister – of course they used her ABC bio photo from the show, just to reiterate that she was on The Bachelor, even though hardly any one remembers her brief stint.
The headline screams “Another Bachelor Suicide – Contestants Blame The Show For Third Death.” There is also a photo of Jake Pavelka “dumping” Lex on the season premiere of this stint as The Bachelor, back in 2010.
Season 4 Bachelorette alum Jesse Csincsak (whom we also don’t really remember) was apparently pals with Lex and he dished to Life & Style about Lex’s suicide. The former contestant explained, “It is not about finding love, it is about embarrassing the hell out of each and every contestant for ratings and money. It ruins people’s lives. I’m afraid this won’t be the last suicide.”
Jesse went on to say, “You [become known as] ‘the slut,’ ‘the drunk,’ ‘the cheater,’ ‘the bully,’ ‘the loser,’ and you have to live with that for life. That causes depression. For anyone who has been on the show, the process causes emotional issues. Lex was no different. Even though years have gone by, it still negatively affected her life.”
For what it is worth, ex’s brother Josh doesn’t support Jesse’s theory – and he made it very clear to Life & Style that the McAllister Family does NOT blame The Bachelor for his sister’s death.
What is even more ridiculous about Jesse’s claims, is Lex actually did an interview for “Columbus CEO” after she was eliminated from the show and she bragged that she only joined the show to get some publicity for her PR Company.
And, she actually bragged in her interview that she got eliminated on purpose and her goal from the beginning was to only appear on one episode. Hmm, doesn’t exactly sound like the words of an emotionally damaged and broken woman.
