“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, January 22, tease that Paul (Doug Davidson) will arrive at Newman Enterprises to inform Natalie (Mara McCaffray) that the police are running the show now. They’ve set up an exchange with Adam’s (Justin Hartley) kidnappers. After Natalie exits, Victor (Eric Braeden) will offer a stern warning to Paul. He’ll make it clear that Adam had better come out of this unscathed.
Once Paul is gone, Victor will tell his security man that he’s not to follow Paul’s orders. Victor will say he’s the one in charge. Later, Natalie will tell Victor that Adam’s kidnappers sent another message. They’re definitely not pleased. Victor will send back a message and Natalie will ask if he’s going to double-cross the cops. Victor will simply flash a devious grin.
At the penthouse, Dylan (Steve Burton) will give Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) updates on the plan. The exchange is to be done in a public place. Chelsea will say she’ll hold a fashion show at Top of the Tower and they can do it there. Chelsea will fear that Adam could be in danger, but Dylan will offer reassurance.
Dylan will head to the police station and get Paul up to speed. They’ll call Victor and pass along the news about the fashion show. Victor won’t think this is the way to go, but Paul will insist it’s the right move. It’s risky, but this is the best plan.
After Dylan leaves, Chelsea will make her way over to Newman Enterprises. She’ll rip into Victor for putting Adam in the middle of all of this. Natalie will enter and Chelsea will berate her as well. Victor and Chelsea will want Natalie to help Adam so Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) can get his father back. Natalie will agree to do what she can, but Chelsea and Victor won’t be sure they should trust her.
At the athletic club, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will tell Jack (Peter Bergman) that he went to see Billy (Jason Thompson). Kevin will indicate that Billy was bummed because Victor swiped the deal. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will mention the fact that Adam has been kidnapped. Jack will think it’s all Victor’s fault. He’ll be grateful that Paul is trying to get this mess sorted out.
At the hospital, Billy will tell Victoria (Amelia Heinle) about the memories he has of the car that hit him. They’ll also discuss their plans for the future. Billy will point out that he wants to hear Katie say “Dada” again. Victoria will be stunned and wonder how Billy could possibly know about that.
Suddenly, Jack and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will arrive. Billy will state that he’s not worried about missing out on the deal. Billy is just looking forward to going home with his family soon. When Jack and Victoria step outside, Phyllis will ask how Billy really feels. Billy will admit that he thinks Victor is scum and he’d like to stick it to him. Phyllis will hint that karma is coming soon.
Back at the station, Paul will warn Dylan that there’s no room for error. They just have to hope Victor doesn’t blow this. After Kevin and Mariah bug them for information, Paul will order them to stay away from Top of the Tower.
After Paul and Dylan depart, Natalie will manage to get in touch with Kevin. Natalie will say she’s still alive, but she’s concerned she won’t stay that way for much longer. Mariah and Kevin think Victor is just as dangerous as the kidnappers that want Natalie.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that a restrained Adam will demand answers from one of his captors. Adam will ask who the man is working for, but he won’t get any details. When the man walks out, Adam will try to scoot over to get a cell phone on a nearby table. The man will come back and Adam will want him to call Chelsea.
Once again, Adam will get nowhere with the captor. Later, Adam will overhear the man asking about the plan on the phone. The man will reply, “Yes, ma’am. I’ll take care of it.” Something will inevitably go wrong during this trade. Y&R viewers will be anxious to see what’s in store. Stay tuned to the CBS soap to watch all the chaos.
