Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Will (Chandler Massey) is headed back to the NBC soap. DOOL viewers know that Will was murdered after he uncovered Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) secret. Since Will figured out the identity of Salem’s necktie killer, Ben couldn’t let him live. He strangled Will and all of Salem was left in shock.
Days fans were certainly upset about the show’s decision to kill off this legacy character. Fortunately, no one ever has to be dead permanently on a daytime drama. It’s easy for soap writers to come up with excuses to explain a demise. Will’s return should come with an intriguing explanation.
Of course, we’ll see some stunning moments before the truth is revealed. Days spoilers suggest that Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Paul’s (Christopher Sean) relationship will grow much stronger. They’ll hit a rough patch pretty soon, but they’ll undoubtedly work through it. Once the madness is over, they’ll be a solid couple with a bright future.
That future could be in jeopardy when Will pops up again. Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that some weddings are on the way this fall. By then, Paul and Sonny may be ready to tie the knot. There’s a good chance Sonny will have some tearful scenes by Will’s grave. He’ll probably accept the fact that he needs to move on.
Next, Sonny and Paul could prepare for their big day. They might don their tuxes and plan to say “I do.” Once the potential ceremony begins, a surprise guest could arrive. Days of Our Lives watchers know that weddings are often interrupted. Can the show really pass up the opportunity to have Will burst in and object?
Sonny and Paul would definitely postpone their nuptials in that case. Sonny would have a lot to think about. That’s especially true if the explanation for Will’s death erases his horrible actions. If a doppelganger took Will’s place out in Los Angeles, it would undo most of the damage to his character. The cheating scandal and blackmail plot would be wiped off Will’s record. Sonny might be upset with himself for believing Will could hurt him like that.
Still, Sonny’s feelings for Paul are very real. It appears Will’s stint may be somewhat short-term, so maybe Paul will win the battle for Sonny’s heart. We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
