General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a leaked script offers huge hints about Steve Burton’s return to the ABC soap. Since it looks like Burton is coming back as a new character at first, everyone’s been wondering who he might play. This script could give us the answer.
At the bottom of the cast list for this upcoming episode, there’s a character named Dr. Andy. Will this be Steve Burton’s initial role? GH buzz suggests that Burton may eventually turn out to be the real or original Jason Morgan, but this would be a way to reintroduce him in Port Charles.
Having Burton play a doctor makes sense when you consider Jason’s background. He wanted to give medical school a shot before an accident led him down a different path. Jason became “Stone Cold” and that presented another set of challenges. However, it seems Jason may have somehow returned to his roots as Dr. Andy.
Of course, things are going to be complicated since Billy Miller (current Jason) has renewed his contract with GH. General Hospital spoilers state that the show is going to give fans a puzzle to solve. Perhaps they’ll start with the mystery of how and why Jason is now living as someone else.
Will Burton’s Jason hide his identity or will he genuinely believe he’s Dr. Andy? Regardless, we can probably predict who the good doc will be treating. Since Sam (Kelly Monaco) is facing a major health crisis, she may need a specialist down the road. Dr. Andy could easily waltz in as Sam’s new doctor.
Unfortunately, this could create more strife for Sam. She’s already battling hallucinations of Sonny (Maurice Benard). Sam may believe they’re continuing with other people once she sees Jason’s old face. Current Jason knows what he used to look like as well. If this plays out as expected, Jason will definitely be caught off guard by Dr. Andy’s familiar appearance.
General Hospital spoilers hint that we could be gearing up for a long-lost twin storyline, but there are still going to be plenty of questions. GH writers have their work cut out for them!
