General Hospital spoilers tease that the Tale of Two Jason Morgans is headed to GH this summer, whether fans of the ABC soap opera are ready for it or not. General Hospital rumors hinted for weeks that Steve Burton was returning to his old stomping ground in Port Charles, now the casting news has been confirmed, but the real mystery is – will he be playing Jason Morgan, or another character entirely? And how will Steve’s return affect Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller?
Kelly Monaco took to Twitter and teased some very cryptic General Hospital spoilers, indicating that Port Charles may have two Jason Morgan’s on their hands when Steve Burton arrives. It was recently revealed that Billy Miller has signed a new contract at the ABC soap opera, which means he will continue to play the role of Jason Morgan. Is it possible that there are two Jason Morgans roaming the streets of Port Charles? If you read between the lines of Kelly Monaco’s latest tweet, then the answer is “yes.”
Kelly Monaco shared a photo of herself riding on the back of a mystery man. The mystery man is holding up a bloodied arm and two fingers. Monaco cleverly captioned the photo, “Deuces.” Eagle-eyed GH fans noted that the mystery man in the photo is wearing a wedding ring and a white T-shirt, strongly resembling Billy Miller’s alter-ego Jason Morgan. But, is Kelly hinting that there are about to be TWO Jason Morgans?
Will the writers take a much more complicated route, and somehow pin a Jason Morgan switcharoo on evil Helena Cassadine? Is Billy Miller’s character actually an impostor? How awkward would it be if Sam Morgan’s daughter Scout is actually not a Morgan at all?
Retired GH co-head-writer, Jean Passanante, announced her replacement to fans July 29 on Twitter – Chris Van Etten. Chris will join Shelly Altman to continue writing General Hospital’s dynamic storylines. Jean described her replacement as a brilliant writer and life-long GH fan.
The General Hospital writers and spoilers are trying to convince fans that Steve Burton is playing an entirely new character. But, let’s be honest, there’s NO way they are going to bring back Steve Burton and not kick off a year-long storyline acknowledging the fact that he’s a dead ringer for the original Jason Morgan sooner or later.
