Kate Middleton is once again getting slammed for showing too much skin in public with her sheer outfits. This time around a lot of royal critics couldn’t help but notice that the Duchess wore a white lacy Alexander McQueen gown that showed off the outline of her legs during the opening of the Royal Ascot this week.
A lot of critics say that Kate Middleton’s dress was inappropriate for the occasion. Even though the dress had a high-neck and long sleeves, many are bothered over the fact that you could almost see the outline of Kate’s derriere and limbs even though the dress was long enough to go past her knees.
Of course, it’s no secret that Kate Middleton has been showing off a little too much skin in public over the years. Everyone remembers her embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during her trip to Canada back in 2011. The entire world got a little glimpse of her bare derriere when the wind unexpectedly lifted up her skirt. Back in 2016, she was also slammed for wearing a high-slit dress that could have caused even more embarrassment for the royal family. She wore a blue and white polka-dot $2,200 Alturazza dress that left very little to the imagination.
Sure, Kate Middleton is often considered to be one of the most stylish and fashion-forward women in the world. But her husband Prince William is also the future King of England. The last thing the monarchy needs are paparazzi photos of the Duchess of Cambridge showing off a little too much skin or walking around nearly naked for that matter. After all, she’s already been humiliated when topless photos of her first appeared in the French version of Closer Magazine back in 2012.
Then again, no one knows just how closely Kate Middleton is paying attention to the length of her skirt or dresses. She might be picking her outfits simply based on how stylish they look, regardless of whether or not it is appropriate. Of course, the only person who really knows the truth is Kate Middleton herself. In fact, a lot of eagle-eye royal observers have noticed that her hemlines have been getting shorter over the years, and not longer.
So far Buckingham Palace has never made any comments about Kate Middleton’s wardrobe malfunctions. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on Kate Middleton and the royal family right here.
