Are Selena Gomez and The Weeknd getting married? Selena Gomez’s ‘Wizards of Wavery Place’ co-star and good friend David Henrie’s wedding took place recently, and according to recent reports, Selena Gomez ‘discovered true love’ with her boyfriend, The Weeknd, at the romantic ceremony, even coming to contemplate and discuss the idea of marriage.
The wedding between David Henrie and Maria Cahill took place this past Friday, and sources tell Hollywood Life, “The wedding] made her think of what she has with [The Weeknd] and how happy she is and is fully devoted to everything he has brought to her life.”
While Selena Gomez dating The Weeknd initially came as a surprise to most of the public – especially because we had become so accustomed to her on-again/off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, we immediately assumed that it was just a rebound fling or that it was just a short affair, nothing that would last.
However, both Selena and The Weeknd have surprised their fans and the media alike by sticking together for this long, and conversations are now revolving around the relationship getting more serious.
Recent reports have claimed that Selena and The Weeknd have even begun discussing moving in together, and this report goes along the same lines – if they’re discussing moving in, who’s to say they won’t take it one step further and talk an engagement? And then marriage?
Many couples who attend weddings can’t help but discuss the idea of that same event taking place in their lives, and it seems like a natural place for the conversation to evolve – especially given how close Selena and the groom, David, are.
However, this could also be a complete fabrication and exaggeration of Selena’s and The Weeknd’s immediate future plans. The two are still very focused on their careers, and jumping into a marriage right now would seem premature – even if they were a hundred percent certain that was the path they wanted to travel down.
