Mel Gibson is warning the world may well soon end – and he fears civilization as a whole is in decline. Gibson believes the fate of modern-day man could echo that of the Mayan people he depicts in new movie Apocalypto.
He says, “The things that happened right before their downfall are occurring in our society right now. People think that modern man is so enlightened, but we’re susceptible to the same forces.”
