All I can say is what is he thinking – criticising BUSH, while supporting a complete DICTATOR.? You don’t have to support BUSH,?and if you don’t like him, you get to vote him out, and you get to say how you feel because it is your right.? But guess WHAT?? The people of Venezuela don’t get to do that because they have a dictator.? If they mouthed off the way Penn did they would go right to jail or be shot.? Its far time for Penn to appreciate where he lives, in a free country, with freedom of speach!
Hollywood’s most anti-American actor, flew down to Venezuela for a love fest with the world’s most anti-American dictator, Hugo Chavez, who heaped praise on Penn in a nationally televised speech. Chavez, who has taken up the Marxist bully pulpit of his ailing hero Fidel Castro, praised Penn for his call to impeach President Bush. “What moves him is his conscience,” Chavez said. “He’s one of the greatest opponents of the Iraq invasion.” Chavez said he chatted with Penn by phone Wednesday and they agreed to meet in Caracas yesterday. Chavez read part of Penn’s open letter to the White House in which Penn described Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as “criminally obscene people.” Penn is “well informed about what goes on in the United States despite being in Hollywood,” said Chavez, who’s closing down newspapers and TV stations that criticize his policies. Penn wisely did not speak in public.
