Today on the the “View” the craziness was supplied by by resident right-wing , Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
During a discussion on adultery, the easily-flustered Hasselbeck said that parents who have ever cheated on their spouses meant they were bad parents. How can she generalize like this?
Her colleagues thought her view was rather extreme, and essentially told her to take the stick out of her you-know-what. They agreed that adultery is not right, but it does not necessarily entail one is a bad parent. Things are not as black and white as she believes.

Elisabeth is exactly right on the money. You lead and develope children by example and not words alone. Children are more aware than we give them credit for. They are sponges taking in the world around them and forming the building blocks of their character from those experiences. The divorce rate is as high as it is partly because of the degradation of family values. I am not saying that people who stray in relationships are bad people because we are all fallable as human beings. However, I feel Elisabeth was on point by saying that it can be harmful to a childs moral compass.
Great job Elisabeth for standing up for your beliefs.
Sincerely,
JR Keelin
Oh lordy! I hate republicans.
Elizabeth was absolutely right! Shame on the rest of who think that children aren’t adversely affected by the phildanderings of a husband or wife. How many children in our society are in great need of counseling because the relationship of his/her parents is torn by adultery. Also, what kind of example is that adulterer setting for his/her child? Are we okay, in this society, to accept that kind of behavior as morally right? I’m not. And furthermore, those that live in the public eye, need to remember that they are examples to our children as well. It’s not okay to say that adultery is acceptable and it certainly is ignorant to say that it has nothing to do with being a good parent. Think people, think! If you think that Elizabeth’s comments are about being Republican, then I might as well become a Republican right now! Obviously she understands what it means to be a role model.
i guess republicans don’t believe in evolution OR spellcheck…
