Boycott The Beijing Olympics – China Wins Gold Medal For Human Rights Abuse

In 1987 US president Ronald Regarn threatened to boycott the Seoul Olympics unless the South Korean regime introduced democracy: it worked.  Many feel that, had the world known of the conditions in pre-war Germany, the 1936 “Hitler” Olympics would not have taken place in Berlin. The situation in China today is horrid.  Apart from the well publicized Tibetan Cultural Genocide this most secretive and evil empire also employs massive amounts of slave labor to produce the poisonous goods with which they flood the world.  The level of repression and concentration of power makes human rights as we know them non-existent in China.  With such a nation, you don’t play friendly games.  It just isn’t right.

An example of China’s evil and obvious knowledge of their guilt is that they are pressuring British Olympic chiefs to force athletes to sign a contract promising not to speak out about China’s appalling human rights record – or face being banned from travelling to Beijing. The move – which raises the spectre of the order given to the England football team to give a Nazi salute in Berlin in 1938 – immediately provoked a storm of protest.  Prince Charles has made it clear that he will NOT be traveling to Beijing under any conditions – at least somebody in a position of influence seems to have a set of balls.  Three cheers for the Prince of Wales.

One gold medal that China will certainly win is the one for human rights abuse. While China pretends to be a decent nation and hosts the 2008 Olympics, they  deny fundamental human rights to their entire population and provide economic and political support to the regimes in Burma and Sudan; two governments that are waging genocidal wars on sections of their populations.  It is contemptible for the free world to grant this nation of evil implicit acceptance by participating in their games – where is a Ronald Regan when we need one – all we have are phonies and panderers tripping over themselves trying to grab the brass ring holding the key to the Whitehouse.  Source
