The Betty Ford Centre is suggestion to Lindsay Lohan that she has to resolve her problems with her father Michael Lohan once and for all. Lindsay blames her father for most of her problems and it is easy to understand why. Lindsay has a lot of anger towards him and a lot of unresolved feelings and if wants to move on an be sober she will need to address her problem with him. One of the stumbling blocks of course is Lindsay does not trust him and she fears he will go to the press with whatever she says. He has a habit of airing the family dirty laundry in the press to get attention.
The insider told RadarOnline.com that Lindsay’s counselors say it’s time she deal with her feelings about her dad once and for all. “Lindsay does love Michael. If she didn’t, she wouldn’t continue to lash out at him,” the source said. “However it’s extremely unhealthy for Lindsay. In order for her to succeed with her sobriety once she leaves Betty Ford, she must decide if she wants a relationship with Michael or not.
It is hard to believe Lindsay will ever be able to be sober without dealing with her issues with her family. Unfortunately the risk she will have to take is Michael blabbing to the press.
