The recently divorced Cheryl Cole graces the October 2010 cover of Vogue UK. Cheryl split from soccer player Ashley Cole in February amid claims he had been unfaithful with a string of women – wasn’t present at London’s High Court to see the decree nisi granted by district judge Chris Simmonds this morning (01.09.10). In a brief hearing, the judge accepted the couple’s four-year marriage had broken down because of the England and Chelsea defender’s “unreasonable behaviour”.
In the magazine she talks about her divorce from Ashley Cole. She admits she felt betrayed by Ashley and she was glad they never had children. It is rumoured that boyfriend Derek was comforting her at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Los Angeles as it happened. A source close to the singer said: “Derek has been a tower of strength and he wanted to be with her at such an emotional time.”
However, friends say that despite moving on with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ favourite Derek, Cheryl is struggling to cope with the end of her marriage. A friend told the Daily Mirror: “Emotions don’t disappear overnight. It was complicated. Cheryl is terribly saddened and upset over the end of her marriage.”
