This is big news – although the numbers were close – just a few hundred thousand apart – Dancing clearly beat Idol for the first time. I am glad. American Idol has always been nothing more than a loud and noisy talent show with judges that were either just plain stupid (Randy) or obnoxious (Simon) or both (Ellen Degenerate). I’m also glad because they got rid of Paula Abdul who was a nice person who tried to find something positive and encouraging to say to everyone who tried.
