The Hole singer is still furious with the Nirvana rocker – who killed himself in 1994 – for “leaving” her and their now 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean, and is tired of constantly being asked about him. She said:
“I’m so sick of my name and his name – I am not his spokesperson on Earth! I don’t know what he’d like now, he could be into society girls, he could be into fat girls, he could be homosexual. We don’t know, he died at 27. “My guitarist Micko said once, ‘He was so cool,’ and I almost killed him. He wasn’t cool because he f***ing abandoned us. What he did to the family isn’t cool.”
The star – who recently lost custody of Frances – is trying to erase traces of Kurt from her life as she believes she finally needs to move on for the sake of her relationship with her daughter.
She added to NME magazine: “It’s been 17 years since Kurt died. It’s unconventional I know. But, I have my ‘K’ on my stomach and I have the paintings that I want. I had an epiphany – things must go, obsessing about the missing money, the ancillary object of Kurt Cobain, taking Adderall – I won’t take that stuff again, Frances doesn’t like it.” Photo: Fame Pictures
