Simon Cowell is not thrilled with the rumor that Howard Stern could fill his spot on ‘American Idol.’ According to the Daily News, Cowell said that you need experience in the industry to be able to judge it. "We have to have people on these shows who actually know what they’re talking about, rather than just guessing. They’ve really got to have experience, so that they can not just criticize, but offer constructive advice as well". Forget Stern’s experience, it is his lack of censorship that would be the problem!. If Stern were to take on the role, you bet they would have lots of controversery. So, what it comes down to, will Idol pick someone who makes disgusting comments over demeaning comments, ratings over proper ‘idol material’, time will tell. source
