How’s this for a twist – lawyer Manley Freid has accused Mel Gibson of extortion for threatening to prosecute Oksana Grigorieva for illegally taping him in multiple conversations. Freid says that Mel used this threat of criminal prosecution to bully her into signing a mediation agreement. Hmmm? Wait – why would Oksana’s lawyers have allowed her to sign anything that was not in her interests if, in fact, she actually did. At this point we are not believing much that comes from Oksana or her side – her goal from the start was to get extremely rich off of Mel and she was willing to resort to any measures to succeed.
According to the docs, filed on July 14, Manley Freid, one of Oksana’s former lawyers, argues, “These threats alone render the agreement void. In fact, these baseless threats and the level of coercion throughout the mediation constitute extortion.”
May we be the first to suggest that the entire Mel-rage/Oksana-taping/Oksana-publicising enterprise that Oksana and her ever-changing legal team have undertaken is one giant scam to screw Mel Gibson for millions and millions. We believe that Oksana goaded temperamental alcoholic Mel to lose his temper on tape! The whole case is a set up and Oksana deserves nothing but deportation back to Russia.
This is not a defence of Mel – it is strictly an indictment of a terrible money-grubbing gold-digging monster – Oksana Grigevoria.
