Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ozzy recorded most of SCREAM at his Los Angeles home studio, The Bunker. It was produced by OZZY and Kevin Churko, both of whom did the same honors for OZZY’s 2007 worldwide million-seller Black Rain. OZZY co-wrote all the songs, primarily with Churko.

OZZY will embark on an 18-month world tour in support of SCREAM.   His U.S. dates will kick off with an August 12 performance at the 70th anniversary of the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota before he launches this year’s OZZFest on August 14. Second stage headliners and six-time OZZFest veterans Black Label Society will be joined by Drowning Pool,Kingdom of Sorrow, and Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm. Each OZZFest date will include 13 bands on two stages with music beginning at 1:00 PM. In addition, concert-goers can once again visit the OZZFest "Village of the Damned" featuring a mix of interactive activities, shopping and entertainment throughout the venue concourses.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry recently had the opportunity to review the album:

The self titled “Prince Of Darkness” is back again and once again proves age is only a number.  Ozzy gives us a strong album heavy metal fans will enjoy. Overall the album provides what you would expect from an Ozzy album.  He gives a couple of songs that are reminiscent of his solo period and some songs that are more reminiscent of black Sabbath days.   You just can’t stop Ozzy.   The first two song are a little more heavy metal than my taste, classic Black Sabbath style but I could see how someone who likes more current mainstream heavy metal would enjoy them.  The album is a solid edition to the heavy metal scene.   I’m impressed that the can put out a solid album like this,. He has not lost his voice.

In my opinion the best song on the album/the biggest standout for someone who likes his solo songs is “Life won’t wait”.   "Time" is a pleasant song in a lighter vein.  "Diggin me Down" has a great sound to it, the rifs are really different.  "I want it more" is a great song – it makes you want to get up and dance.  Ozzy  has done so many albums he is not trying to impress his critics anymore.  In the last song he thanks his fans.   It is a symbolic song because it is the first time he is sober in a long time, he is a vegan, he is super healthy and he thanks his fans for sticking by him.

All in all I would say it is an album not to be missed.  It is a great album with something for every Ozzy fan.   With SCREAM he injects something powerful and just plain fun into his repertoire
