According to the NFL, being forced to wake up in the morning to unrequested sexted photos of Brett Favre’s penis does not constitute a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy! Can you believe it?
According to Sterger’s lawyer the commissioner and NFL brass are “sexists” – he said “Today’s decision is an affront to all females and shows once again that, despite tough talk, the NFL remains ‘the good old boys’ league.” Her lawyer, Joseph Conway, said “Our evidence and the personal testimony of Ms. Sterger clearly showed a pattern of lewd and offensive behavior by Mr. Favre that lasted all of the 2008 season.”
Commissioner Roger Goodell “could not conclude” that Favre violated the league’s personal conduct policy based on the evidence he had seen. The NFL released a statement saying, “The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger.”
The NFL added “The review found no evidence to contradict the statements of both Favre and Sterger that they never met in person, nor was there anything to suggest that Sterger engaged in any inappropriate conduct.” This last statement is supposed to satisfy Sterger in lieu of an apology to her and a serious penalty to the Favre?
Here is the kicker – the League fined Favre $50,000 for failure to cooperate with the investigation! $50,000 to Brett Favre is like $5 to an average American but what’s worse is that if Favre did not sexually harass Sterger then why fine him but if he did then how can that not be a violation of policy?
Jenn Sterger says she’s “extremely disappointed, but not surprised” with the NFL’s ruling “because the the NFL is a sexist organization.”
Its time for Jenn to do as she has threatened in the past – release all the photos that Favre sent to her – make the sexual harassment she suffered public – teach the Favre and the NFL a lesson – and do it on Super Bowl Sunday.
