2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners List

2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners List

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards which is being  held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday January 30th, 2011 in Los Angeles.   The King’s Speech was the big winner of the evening getting the award for ‘Oustanding Performance by a cast in a motion picture’ as well as Colin Firth picking up the award for Outstanding Actor.  The movie beat out a lot of the favorites.  Going into the Oscar race this is seen as perhaps as to The King’s Speech taking those awards as well.

In the Outstanding Actress category mommy to be Natalie Portman took home the award.  This really puts her as the favorite to win the Oscar. Accepting the award she thanked her parents  ‘who taught me to work my hardest, and to my fiance Benjamin Millepied. I love you very much,‘ she said.
