Abercrombie & Fitch Does NOT Want Jersey Shore's The Situation Wearing Their Clothes

Popular clothing retail chaing Abercrombie & Fitch wants Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino to stop wearing their clothes.  They are so serious they are ready to pay him NOT to wear their clothes.  The folks over at Abercrombie think The Situation is not someone they want affiliated with their brand.  The website posted a  “win-win situation” to Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino: stop wearing our clothes and we’ll give you some cash.”

People magazine has the scoop: “We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image,” a representative from A&F’s brand senses department wrote. “We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans. We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s The Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.”

This is hilarious I would not want my brand associated with The Situation or any of the Jersey Shore members.  Mike should take the money and run :-)   What do you think does The Situation wearing Abercrombie give the brand a bad name or is this just Abercrombie trying to capitalize on Jersey Shore’s popularity?  Let us know in the comments below!
