Amy Winehouse Tops UK Album Charts, So Predictable

When I say predictable I don’t mean for the right reasons, the only reason why Amy Winehouse has actually hit the tops is because she died. There’s no denying the fact that every celebrity who dies becomes a huge success.

For example, Heath Ledger, when he played the Joker, don’t get me wrong he was a great actor but I don’t believe the movie would have done as well if he didn’t die. The Joker was portrayed nothing like the one I grew up watching, so for me it wasn’t all that exciting, in fact it was disappointed. The Joker is supposed to be a hilarious villain with many weird tools and such, but he was just shown as nothing but psychotic, it just didn’t fit him. The best Joker that I have ever seen was the ones in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, yes they are games but you can’t deny the fact at how they were so much better. His personality was spot on being frighteningly hilarious and I must admit that Mark Hamel did such an amazing job with his voice, after playing the game I can say without a doubt there will never be a man to top it.

Who else did this happen to? Michael Jackson of course. Before he died people always made jokes about him allegedly being a pedophile that raped little boys, but guess what happens when he dies? The world just starts praising him on how amazing he was, how great a man he was, and the most ironic thing about the whole thing was that the media was reporting both. I’ve been listening to Michael Jackson since I was young and love his music, but too see people who judged him so much with his personal life and ridicule him suddenly change there views once he is dead, is insulting.

Now back to Amy Winehouse, people are all making a big fuss about her being so ‘amazing’ because she’s dead. I can’t join this band wagon I’m going to stay true to myself and say that for me her singing wasn’t that great, I only listened to one of her songs and found it incredibly boring and not to my taste. What I don’t understand is that how people could possibly think it’s respectable to right away just start supporting her music after she’s passed, seeing her name at the top of the charts to me is nothing but a slap in the face, a huge insult. I don’t believe how so many people worldwide could possibly only realize her ‘talent’ after she died, it’s incredibly pathetic.

In conclusion, if any celebrity wants to make a come back the best idea is just simply dying because after that everyone loves you apparently. No matter what they thought of you before just dying makes people just start realizing how ‘great’ you were. So in respect they buy you merchandise and such, it’s all just very sad, can’t they just love you while you are here.
