It seems that Brad Pitt is not only Mr. Nice Guy – he can play tough for real! Brad had to turn disciplinarian on the set of his new film ‘The Tree Of Life’ after his on-screen sons kept giggling during emotionally serious scenes.
The Hollywood hunk plays a strict father of three sons in Terrence Malick’s acclaimed new drama, and the director chose three non-professional kids to play the parts. Pitt was forced to draw upon his real-life fatherly skills to get the boys to behave, as they were overcome with excitement at meeting the superstar.
He tells Britain’s Guardian, “We had an incident the very first day of filming. We had a scene where I was supposed to be getting on their case, and they’re laughing. They weren’t taking it seriously because they were having fun, you know, with a movie guy. So I had to take the eldest two off the set and say: ‘This is serious. This is what we’re here for, and don’t come back until you’re ready.’ After that, they stopped looking at me as the guy they’d seen in movies.”
Now that’s telling them Brad!
