Bristol Palin To Cash In With Her Own Book

Bristol Palin To Cash In With Her Own Book

Bristol Palin is planning to write her memoirs and according to Amazon the volume will be out in June.  What a perfect graduation gift for every aspiring unwed mother.

What exactly Bristol has accomplished that merits a memoir remains a mystery – unless of course being the much maligned daughter of Sarah Palin suffices.

The memoir is set to come from William Morrow & Co., a subsidiary of HarperCollins, which published her mom’s first book, “Going Rogue: An American Life” and her second book “America by Heart Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.”  Sarah Palin’s first book earned her a $1.25 million advance and lots more after it was published.

The 20-year-old has competed on “Dancing With The Stars” and also works for The Candies’ Foundation as a spokesperson for sexual abstinence.  Who better than a sexually active unwed teen mom to tell others not to have sex?  Sort of like having Jared Lee Loughner lecture on gun control.

The book, which will be 304 pages, is priced at $25.99, according to the Amazon website.  On the customer discussion section of Amazon.com, commenter’s expressed doubt that the memoirs would be worth spending that kind of money.

“I thought the person that told me about this was kidding,” one commenter wrote.  “What kind of memoir could a twenty year old possibly write?” another commenter added. “What kind of insight could she have into her life?  She hasn’t had the distance of time to judge her own actions.”

Is this just one more cynical attempt to cash in on quick celebrity status or another aspect of Sarah’s campaign for Presidency?  I say its both.
