Charlie Sheen An Embarrassing Bust In New York City

If you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere – or so the song says… .  Well Charlie Sheen, the all time ‘winner,’ will have to find another standard of achievement with which to vulcanize the permanence of his success since he flopped terribly in New York last night.

Charlie left the stage 30 minutes early at his show in New York on Friday night, April 8, due to audience members heckling him throughout the performance.

The former Two and a Half Men star is currently travelling the U.S. with his My Violent Torpedo Of Truth/Death Is Not An Option tour.   The performances have received strongly mixed reactions from audiences – he was jeered off the stage in Detroit on his opening night but did well in Cleveland and Chicago – the crowd at Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall was less than impressed with Sheen.

After declaring he had quit drugs the actor went on to fuel his public war of words with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre by daring the TV boss to join him onstage at the same venue on Sunday.  He said, “(Let’s) work this s**t out.  Of course I want my job back man!”

Sheen also poked fun at ‘Wall Street’ director Oliver Stone, joking, “I’ll buy an Academy Award from Oliver Stone ’cause he’s now broke.  His movies now suck!   Anyone seen Wall Street 2?”

The website reports the actor’s jokes fell flat – he was scheduled for a 75 minute slot, but left the stage after just 45 minutes due to continued heckling from the theatregoers.
