Charlie Sheen‘s fall continues. The star who was recently the highest paid TV actor was busy getting pelted with garbage this weekend as he played host at the Gathering of the Juggalos festival.
Gathering of the Juggalos is an annual festival put on by Psycopathic Records featuring a variety of genres within hip hop and rock, though the majority of the acts perform horror-core and hardcore. Founded by Insane Clown Posse and Robert Bruce the Gathering is known for hard core dedicated fans who can get out of hand as well as major acts such as Ice Cube and MC Hammer.
Described by Joseph Bruce of ICP as a “Juggalo Woodstock,” the Gathering of the Juggalos spans four days and includes concerts, wrestling, games, contests, autograph sessions, karaoke, and seminars with artists. Over its first eleven events, the festival has drawn an attendance of about 110,000 fans.
The ex-Two and a Half Men star made his ‘winning’ appearance at the annual counter culture concert and subsequently got a rough ride from the band’s notorious fan base, who booed the actor and threw trash at him when he announced the band Tech N9ne.
“Damn! I feel like I’m back in Detroit,” Sheen told the Cave-in-Rock, Illinois crowd, “I should’ve worn my f**king goggles.” “Before I get impaled, I’m gonna leave the stage.”
Sheen’s rep claimed that the trashy salute was actually the fans’ way of showing affection towards Charlie, saying “there is no greater compliment to have garbage thrown at an artist.” Is booing part of that great compliment?
You know what they say ‘garbage in, garbage out.’
