Dancing with the Stars is about to get all bling bling-ed out . . . with a stage renovation to the tune of $3 million dollars! Dang, right? The show is definitely moving up in the world, and hopefully will be able to snag some fairly decent — and legit — stars. Though the list hasn’t been finalized, rumor has it that Snooki may be a contestant.
I don’t know about you all, but I definitely consider Snooki to be a legit, current star.
As for the stage, sources told TMZ that the coolest changes will be to the audience seating area. Regular ol’ bleacher-style seating will be switched out for super fancy/classy balcony seating — with three tiers. If that just doesn’t scream FANCY, then I don’t know what does.
There’ll also be a massive staircase in the middle of the stage that will be able to split in half and reveal the orchestra. As for the stage, which was once composed entirely of hardwood, it will now be a raised platform. So, let’s hope we don’t see a Snooki go tumblin’ off the edge. That would be horrible (seriously, it would, not being sarcastic.)
When the producers were contacted, all they had to say about the project was that “they’re VERY excited.”
