Duchess Kate Middleton is constantly lauded for her flawless (but conservative) style, but one British magazine recently called her out for having worn one of the worst outfits of the year!
According to the Telegraph, Kate’s blue coat and coordinating hat that she wore to the Duke of Edinburgh‘s 90th birthday church service back in June was worthy of inclusion on their worst dressed of 2011 list.
“One word: wow. Where do the Royals go to buy these outfits? Instantly-Ageing-And-Frumpy.com? Actually we have a sneaky suspicion that she may have raided Princess Anne’s cast-offs. That’s right, even Anne said no to this,” they wrote about the outfit.
Adding to the disapproval was the fact that it was not the first time Kate had worn the outfit in public, having “recycled” the look from a 2009 wedding she attended.
Still, while it was not the Duchess’ best ensemble, we think that all of Kate’s beautiful clothes this year, from her Alexander McQueen wedding gown to the olive green Ralph Lauren sweater dress she wore last week to a charity function, would likely make her many other people’s pick for best dressed celeb of the year.
