Last night May 2nd, 2011 the Alexander McQueen: ‘Savage Beauty’ Costume Institute Gala took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the star were dressed to impress. Taking the award for worst dress & fashion disaster of the evening was Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie aka Stacy Ferguson. She wore a tacky white lace Marchesa gown that looked better suited for a cheap wedding than an haute couture event. Fergie also brought her new face along. The Gala is one of the biggest on the fashion calendar with the “Who’s who” of Hollywood attending the event is New York’s fashion equivalent to The Oscars. The Savage Beauty exhibition features the late Alexander McQueen’s iconic work and guests will be served a Scottish-themed dinner in the Temple of Dendur to represent McQueen’s Scottish roots. Alexander McQueen made headlines last week when Kate Middleton wore one of his designs as she wed Prince William.
