Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominated actress, Katherine Heigl, hates balls. And with good reason. As the co-founder and spokesperson of I Hate Balls, an edgy campaign designed to raise awareness about spaying and neutering pets, Katherine and her mother/business partner, Nancy, are taking a stand to help reduce the amount of dogs and cats euthanized in shelters each year.
Heigl uses her best assets along with her acting chops and awesome comedic timing in a viral video for FunnyorDie.com proclaiming her disgust for balls, crotch plums, and jockey-jockeys. It’s downright hilarious. As an animal lover (everyone who knows me, knows how obsessed I am with my little Vegas), Katherine’s ball-hatin’ monologue is music to my ears.
According to ihateballs.com, 5 million pets are euthanized in shelters across America annually (over 13,000 per day). Learn more about the cause online and be sure to visit the “chop shop” presented by David and Goliath for super cute I Hate Balls merch.
The initiative stems from The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, an organization dedicated to animal welfare created by Nancy and Katherine in memory of Katherine’s brother, Jason, who died tragically following a car accident in 1986.
You go Katherine – keep on fighting the good fight against thigh knockers!
