In his first official interview since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce and he fired back by filing for an annulment and legal separation, Kris Humphries didn’t say too much.
In a sit down interview on Good Morning America today, the 26 year-old referenced his pre-nup agreement as to why he’s staying mum, but he did confirm that he’s moving forward. Speaking of mum – Kris brought his mom, Debra Humphries to the set of GMA. What did mom have to say?
“We have so much to be thankful for and that is what our family is focusing on now. We’re not trying to look back. We’re just trying to move forward.”
Calm, cool, and collected, Kris focused his responses on what he has going for him: the end of the NBA lock out, his family, and his foundation (non-profit org which provides resources and assistance for organizations serving disadvantaged youth).
Humphries currently does not have an NBA contract but says “Hopefully, I’ll be on a team soon and be ready to go.”
K&K were married for just 72 days before it publicly fizzled out on October 31 and Kim filed for divorce. At the time, Kris issued a statement saying “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce.”
In response to what his highly publicized TV marriage has done to his public image, Kris says, “If people know me and what I stand for, I think they’ll know I like to give back and I’m a fun guy. I don’t really play into the gossip and that’s life.”
