Lady Gaga strutted her stuff (turquoise wig, freakishly tall heels, and a black outfit of some sort) at the MTV Video Music Aid press conference, which was held in Japan.
While visiting the country, Gaga put on a a benefit concert and preached about the importance of visiting the country. Since the March 2011 disaster, the tourism industry has taken a heavy hit.
Gaga had this to say:
“I can’t say enough to people all over the world that the majority of Japan right now, Japan in general, is very safe. It’s fine to come here. It’s beautiful . . . The most important thing, and best thing, we can do for Japan right now is to boost tourism, and so everyone come to Japan and come enjoy the beautiful country.”
While at the event, Gaga proudly wore her Pray for Japan bracelet and had a tea cup that read “Pray for Japan” in Japanese. She will auction off the cup this Saturday. All proceeds will go to Northeastern Japan.
