Charlie Sheen is “extremely disappointed” with this season’s ridiculous episodes of ‘Two and a Half Men’ and who can blame him? Besides his obvious personal and professional attachment Charlie’s income is related to the show’s current and future success – which Ashton Kutcher and the show’s bosses destroy week by week.
The 46-year-old Charlie has been watching Ashton struggle through obnoxious scripts and story lines while the dynasty Charlie built during his 7 years on the show is being destroyed. Kutcher just isn’t up to the job and all the fans, or former fans, know it.
Charlie feuded publicly with Chuck Lorre – that along with his wild and unprofessional behaviour during his final season resulted in his dismissal from the show. Watching the events unfold I had the distinct impression that Chuck Lorre was behind Charlie’s firing and that it WAS very personal. In any case, the show is practically in free fall now as it is clear that Ashton Kutcher on a good day is no Charlie Sheen, even on a bad day.
Charlie said Ashton is “doing the best he can.” but the comedian is not happy with how the show is going after a recent decline in viewing figures.
He told TMZ.com: “He’s doing the best he can. I don’t think the role is cursed, but I’m extremely disappointed with how they’re handling what I left behind.”
When asked about the show’s recent decline in ratings, he said: “People aren’t stupid, you know. Not all of them.”
The first episode of the current series attracted around 27.8 million viewers, however the sitcom’s recent ratings saw just over 14.85 million people tune in – a drop of nearly 50% in just a few weeks!
Bring Charlie back – that’s what we say.
