Lindsay Lohan Attempted To Steal Diamond Earring Prior To Necklace

Lindsay Lohan attempted to steal a diamond earring four days prior to successfully grabbing the $2500 necklace for which she is charged with felony theft.

According to the police report, on January 18, four days before the alleged necklace incident, Lindsay went to the now famous jewellery store, Kamofie and Company, tried on a pair of 18 karat gold diamond earrings.  Lindsay removed only one earring and left the other in her ear while she shopped.

The report continues: “Ms. Lohan gathered her things and started to leave the jewelry store without making a purchase. Ms. Lohan’s hair was flipped to one side covering the diamond earring.”

The report concludes “The clerk stopped her and reminded Ms. Lohan she was still wearing the earring.  Ms. Lohan laughed, admitted to her mistake and removed the earring from her ear and returned it to the clerk.”

This scam involving the earrings is similar to Lindsay’s conduct in the store when she left with the necklace.

According to TMZ, the earring incident could actually help Lindsay. They say she had “absentmindedly left her own, more expensive earrings on the counter as she began walking out of the store with the single earring.”  This, they claim, shows absentmindedness but we disagree – leaving her own earrings is a perfect part of her plot to steal since she can easily recover those later on – the clerk would remember that she took her earrings off to try on the other pair.  Had Lindsay left the store and returned wearing the single ‘stolen’ earring to claim her own pair, only then we could say she had made an innocent mistake.

People who keep walking out of stores with expensive items they have not paid for are thieves, not forgetful.  Lindsay has a history of being dishonest, sneaky, and displaying a general contempt for society’s accepted rules of conduct – she is Lindsay Lohan and the rules simply don’t apply to her, right?  All of a sudden we should believe her apparent thievery is just forgetfulness?
