I should say Matt Damon was a liar. Apparently, he told a fib about his skating abilities to land his first acting job. Too funny.
I guess if Robert Pattinson can get away with telling people that he knew the royal family, then this is okay, right?
Matt said that he lied to TV producers about his skills on the ice skating rink in order to get his first professional acting job. He found himself in a world of crap when he fell over and knocked himself unconscious!
He was still a young man when he got hired to perform an ice skating routine for a TV station in Boston, Massachusetts. After he tried and failed at ice skating, he suffered some painful injuries.
In a new interview, he said, “My first professional acting job was for WCVB-TV. Dick Albert had a show called, ‘Use Your Smarts’, and I did a vignette where I played a young Michael J. Fox – and I had to ice skate. I fell and knocked myself out. So my first job ever I actually cost the production money because I lied in my audition and couldn’t skate.”
Some lessons are learned the hard way, aren’t they?
